Chicken Tortilla Soup I
The soup is not bad. It is a good base.
I personally felt it was a bit lacking in taste.
On my redo, I made some changes and came up with an excellent soup. I added canned chicken instead of oven baked chicken, garlic powder, salt, fresh cracked pepper and a pinch of cumin. I left the hominy and cilantro out and left the avacado and green onions off as well. There are too many flavor-styles trying to be blended into this soup. I could not tell if the original recipe was going for mexican, tex-mex or southwest. Thank you for the recipe.
