About this Cook
I have never liked to cook. My mother tried to inspire me as a child, but to no avail. I finally became interested in cooking when I got married and bought a house with a large kitchen. After experimenting and figuring out what I like to cook, you can't keep me out of the kitchen!
My favorite things to cook
I love to experiment with new recipes. Since I work alot, I like to make large quantities of food and freeze them so my family can quickly grab a home cooked meal for dinner. Stews, soups, and roasts are my favorite. I love to watch football while cooking a huge meal, so as you can imagine, our friends love to watch football at our house!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I guess I don't have any.
My cooking triumphs
I have a filet mignon recipe for which I am famous for. (Sorry, secret recipe) I am very proud of Corinna's filets!
My cooking tragedies
I guess I haven't goofed to the point of total loss. Not yet anyway!

Guacamole
Great starter recipe for one to tweak to their own taste - Guacamole is just a salsa made from avodcado, so you can make it any way you like. The lime juice will slow the oxidation of the avocado, but you can also use lemon juice. Add some jalapenos for kick - its good without garlic too (and I'm a garlic lover).

Freak'n Good Ribs
These were really good, but they took way too long to prepare and cook. I made this with 5 racks of ribs for company, and it was very inconvenient to marinate and cook them before grilling. Definately very tender and tasty, but if you slow cook them on the grill for an hour (vs. the oven), I bet they would come out just as good.

Butternut Squash Soup
Absolutely fantastic! 4 stars because it is definately better when you roast the squash. Don't like Margoram, so I used Thyme, and used 1/4 of the amount of cream cheese. Thank you!
