Peach Cake II

Very moist cake! Not very peachy though. More of the spice comes through instead of the peaches. Heated up with some vanilla ice cream...yummmmm.

This is a very good recipe but it wasn't as peachy tasting as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I will make this whenever I have fresh peaches!

Juicy Peach Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
I love the almond extract in this recipe. I did a half cup of flour, half cup quick cook oats like other reviewer did only because I love oats. This was just so very good. A great thing to do with all those fresh peaches my friends give me.

I made this for a Mardi Gras party and it went over very well. Easy to make and very good. I agree with other that 2T of corn starch was to much. I will make it with just 1 next time. Thanks!

Easy Slow Cooker Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
Easy and great when pressed for time. I used the largest bottle of Prego I could find at the store. Made the meatball the night before. I made them larger than usual. I woke up baked them for 20 minutes at 350. Placed them in the crock pot and poured the sauce over them and they were awesome! I had dinner guests and they were really enjoyed the meal. They didn't fall apart at all. Thanks!

I did not really like this at all. It was just strange. There seemed to be a lot of watery juice in it. Sorry. This did not work for me.

These are really great. Very easy. I did cut it in half and make about 24 muffins. I didn't add the raisins but put in mini semi-sweet chocolate chips. I have also made them subbing the sugar for Splenda. Thank you!

Fresh California Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
Oh my, this is a great salsa recipe. I seeded and drianed the tomato. I did use less cilantro than called for. I used juice from one lime and used juice from a one lemon.(Did you know if you nuke a lemon or lime before juicing for 20 seconds you get way more juice!) I almost freaked out when I forgot to save this recipe to "my recipes" and then it was requested that I make it for a birthday party. Luckily for me I found it again and I'll never lose it again! Thank you so much for this recipe!

Salsa Cheese Boule Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
This was good.I got compliments and it was very easy. I bought 2 boules and cut the 2nd one up into neat chunks. I found that the ripped up pieces kinda fell apart in the dip. The color was not very appetizing though. It was a wierd pink. I changed the servings to twelve instead of the nine and that was great because I had the extra that didn't go into the boule in the oven in a small crock pot on the counter and refilled the boule when it was low. Next time I make it I will add some taco seasoning to see how that works. By the way I used On the Border medium salsa.

Cinnamon Hazelnut Biscotti

This was so very good. It didn't rise very much but I tell ya it didn't make a differance in the taste. I didn't have any hazelnuts so I also used pecans. I will always use this recipe for biscotti. Thanks!

New Year's Day Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Really good recipe. I soaked the black eyed peas over night. I am from the south so I started with a roux. I just added an 1/8 of a cup of flour to the oil. Got it to a nice brown over medium heat. Then added onions. I used fresh garlic, about 2 cloved minced. Added ham, added some water slowly then peas also a bone from the left over ham I used. I didn't have whole tomatos so I used a can of diced. We like the tomato chunk so I didn't liquify them. Oh yeah, lot's of fresh cracked pepper! It was really good. Thank for the recipe.
