I've lived in South Central Kansas all my life until I married in 1975. My husband was in the military & we moved around for a few years. We lived in Germany for 3 years where I experienced some of the best food in the world and learned to cook some of it from my landlady. I started cooking in elementary school by helping my mother. My favorite food is potatoes so I think this is my favorite thing to cook. I love to make Mexican food and am now learning to make Sushi! I love getting together with family and friends to make Thanksgiving dinner. I always make the stuffing and potatoes and it has become my daughters job to roast the turkey and make the pies. I won first place in a local cooking contest about 20 years ago. I haven't entered the contest since... I think I am afraid of losing! I made a recipe I found for Mahi Mahi that was smothered in onions. It was nasty and my family will never let me forget that!
