About this Cook
I am a seasoned vet to impromtu dinner parties, and last minute entree requests. I am in my element, in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I am always happy to cook crawfish etouffee, gumbo, gateaux de sucre,or a pig in the ground... anything that reminds me of home.
My favorite family cooking traditions
It's gotta be a cross between world class cooking, and "down home" cooking. I also love restaraunts "knock off" recipes.
My cooking triumphs
Any meal in which everyone wants seconds,no left overs, and you are asked to make it again...soon!
My cooking tragedies
About 22 years ago, I was making a box cake mix. Instead of using water, I used milk, and had cake run all over the pan into my oven. Whatta rookie! lol

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie
The recipe couldn't be any easier to follow, and the pie is a little slice of heaven. Thanks for sharing!

Cajun Seafood Pasta
Oh yea, this is the good stuff. My inlaws raved about the dish. I added lump crabmeat, and some boiled crawfish tails for good measure. I will be making this again...soon. Thanks for sharing.

Peachy Pork Chops
Great recipe, I added crushed garlic, and soy sauce, for a kick, and served it with Saffron rice. No leftovers on this one.
