Go Blue! Michigan Grad living in Atlanta. Huge football and Hockey fan. Go Wings. Also have three dogs and a cat in the family, in addition to my partner.
Biggest pet peeve: cooks on all recipes who change a recipe significantly, then rate the recipe poorly when it does not work out. Keep ratings to the actual recipe unless your changes IMPROVE the result. (Stepping down from soap box now)
My favorite things to cook
Chinese and Italian. Mixing recipes from different cultures
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mom taught me how to cook when I was in my early teens. I quickly learned that if I volunteered to cook, I got to eat my favorites more often. I was fortunate that mom was very adventerous in her cooking. Our family had a large number of recent imigrant families as friends. We were eating Chinese, Thai and Indian food in the early 70's.
My cooking triumphs
My first thanksgiving for both my family and my partners.
My cooking tragedies
I have been fortunate that I have had no major tragedies. I have had to double or triple recipies when I have been trying to move to fast, and add the incorrect amounts.
