Mushroom Onion Matzo Kugel

This is very delicious. It needs a lot of salt and pepper. Taste it before you bake it. I added two beaten eggs as someone had suggested. I think it is needed to hold it together. Made it in an 8 x 8 pan and baked it for 40 minutes.

Passover Chocolate Mandelbrot

This is fabulous as it is, but I buy three disposable aluminum pans, approximately 5 x 12 by 1 inch high. It makes three perfectly uniform loaves in 1/2 hour. I then slice them and return them to the oven at 250 for 1/2 hour as someone else had suggested. Couldn't be more perfect! They are gone in a flash.

Maria's Broccoli Rabe

This was excellent. Never ate broccoli rabe before and my husband and I gobbled up the whole pound! I used much less oil (2 Tbs) and two cloves of minced garlic. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for introducing me to a new vegetable.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

I used a large "oven-stuffer" type chicken. We could not believe how moist and tasty it was! It was ready in less than 5 hours. I will pay attention to that next time. But it was a wonderful, easy way to roast a chicken and still have it juicy with crisp skin. A real keeper.

Asparagus and Mushroom Frittata

This was excellent! Cooked the asparagus only 5 minutes as suggested, then added the mushrooms. Used 8 egg whites and 2 whole eggs to lighten up the calories and cholesterol. Couldn't tell the difference! This has so many possibilities. Needed some pepper and salt, but you can add that on your own. Served it with a baked potato and salad for a no fuss dinner. This is a keeper.

Slow Cooker Lasagna

This was very good, and I would give it five stars except that it lacked "zip". I didn't use all the noodles (a mistake). Both my husband and I thought it would have been better with more noodles. It was very cheesy. But to go out for the day and have lasagna ready when you get home is a real treat. Next time I will spice up the sauce, or maybe use half beef and half sausage.

Slow Cooker Rosemary and Red Pepper Chicken

This was very tasty, but the chicken was dry after 5 1/2 hours. I shredded it as someone had suggested, and returned it to the sauce. Made it much better. I did add the 1/2 cup marinara sauce and some wine. I browned the sausage first - I think that makes it taste better. I deglazed the pan with the wine and added it to the pot. I will make this again with less chicken and less time.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

This was easy, for sure. But there was definitely something lacking. I gave it three stars because my husband liked it, but I found it dry. It was very tender, but the meat, itself, was on the dry side. I cut back on the garlic based on what others said. We did not find it too salty, but we did not use a lot of the juices. Tonight it will be shredded with BBQ sauce to use it up.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

This was outstanding just as it is although I added about 1 cup of frozen peas at the end for color. HOWEVER, it is NOT a 15 minute prep. It took me at least 1/2 hour to get from the start to the slow cooker. But it is definitely worth it. I used boneless short ribs and cut it myself into small pieces. I always use that for stew; it is incredibly tender and worth the extra money.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

This was really good and easy, but did lack some flavor. I used less jarred sauce as suggested by others, added 1 can of tomato paste and some hot pepper flakes and seasonings, but it still needed something. Maybe some red wine next time. Will make it again.

Easy Apple Crisp

I used a mixture of 7 apples - whatever I had around. It is very sweet - I might try a little lemon juice mixed in with the apples next time. Put it in 2 8 inch square pans - kept one and froze one for another time. Would definitely make it again.

Artichoke Chicken

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

We loved this recipe! The turkey was so moist and flavorfull. I had to hide the 2 that were left over so my husband wouldn't eat them! I wouldn't change a thing. I might try all white meat next time with a little chicken broth as some suggested.

Garlic Pork Roast

I followed the directions exactly and made very sure to sear the meat well. I even deglazed the pan with the chicken broth. We found the roast lacking in taste and would have liked a stronger flavor. I will shred it and put it in barbeque sauce for sandwiches. It just didn't hit the spot.

Southern Butternut Squash

This recipe was outstanding. Everyone wanted the recipe. It served 12 of us - I used it as a sweet side dish for a holiday meal. It was a hit and I would definitely make it again. I only used 1/2 cup of sugar as was suggested and it was fine!

Carrot Pudding

I guess if I think dessert and pudding this would be good. I was hoping to use it as a sweet side dish - my mistake. It is very sweet and mine came out kind of mushy - but if it is truly a pudding, I guess that is how it should be. Would not make it again.

Poached Salmon I

I tried this recipe for a brunch. It was superb! I didn't precook the onion, carrots or celery. Just put them in the water with the wine. It was the hit of the day!
