Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
These were absolutely fantastic! I followed the recipe almost exactly, only leaving out about a 1/2 C of oats and they're a tad soft so I probably could have left them in. I also made sure to press them firmly into the pan and took them out half way through baking to do so again, and pressed them yet again right after I took them out of the oven. The kids love them, I plan on wrapping them individually for the kids' lunches.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

I really loved this recipe! I scaled it to 8 for an 8x11 pan of brownies and there was plenty. It was rich but not sickly sweet, and super easy to spread .

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
I've made these before and forgotten just how delicious they are!! I just baked them exactly as the directions called for, with the exception of putting the dough on cookie sheets and then in the freezer for about 7 minutes or so before popping them in the oven. I make mine until they're a bit golden, I can't stomach white cookies, and they were PERFECT!

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Wow - these are great! By far the fluffiest pancakes I've ever made, and so simple. The only thing I changed was to substitute 1 C flour with 1C whole wheat flour.

The Best Meatballs You'll Ever Have

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
Wow! These are awesome! I just made these meatballs and so far have eaten 2, just to "test" them :).They're super moist and have such a nice flavor, nothing to strong but not at all bland. The only things I did differently were to use bread crumbs instead of croutons, omit the red pepper flakes (I had none), and bake them at 350 for 20 minutes, then broiled for 5 minutes. I can't wait to serve them for dinner!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
I made this today and it worked great, but I had a couple of problems that were probably my fault :). The glaze was a bit too runny and more ran off the cookie than I would have liked, and as it dried it had more of a mottled look. that's ok though, they're not perfect but close to it!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
I mixed these up last night, threw everything into my Kitchen Aid mixer and it took no time at all. I did add about 1/2 C more sugar, we like our cookies sweet! We baked them today, and they were just wonderful! I took some suggestions and rolled the dough between parchment paper and used icing sugar when they got a bit sticky. The only thing I wasn't thrilld with is that they puffed up a bit, but some icing will take care of that!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
I'm making these cookies for the umpteenth time, and they're a hit once again! These are by far my family's favorite, and we're serious chocolate cookie connoisseurs. I follow the recipe exactly and they turn out beautifully. The only thing I will say is that this isn't a recipe you can double. I've tried doing so using my Kitchenaid mixer and by hand, and it never turns out the way it does when I make a single batch. That's ok though, I'm willing to make a few separate batches!

Homemade Pancake Mix

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
These pancakes were just excellent! I added a bit of sugar to the dry mix as well as some cinnamon, and we made them with bananas and chocolate chips. I did find that they cooked better at 300 then 350. They're definitely on my Sunday brunch menu now!
