About this Cook
I love to bake and I really enjoy good food, so that is why I cook. I find that I don't always have enough time to cook with a 2 year old. :) Oh, and I just can't seem to follow a recipe to the letter, I have to make some changes.
My favorite things to cook
Golden mushroom chicken, cashew salad. Anything quick and tasty.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family bakes. Whenever we are together you can bet on a minimum of 5 kinds of cookies and bars.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering the art of baking wonderful homemade bread.
My cooking tragedies
Forgot the sugar in a loaf of orange cranberry bread. Yuck! (Luckily I tasted it before I served it to anyone.)

Kettle Corn
Works great with a popcorn pan. You won't need as much oil. Add 1/4 tsp. salt immediately after popping & toss.

Venison Salisbury Steak
This was an excellent recipe, my family wouldn't quit raving about it. I used Elk, instead of venison, which my dad hunts every year. He, my step-mom, and husband all loved this dish. It's worth the effort that goes into it.

Margarita Cake
Refreshing summer dessert. I left out the liquor and added lemon and lime zest to both the cake and icing. It received rave reviews at my party.
