Spinach Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
I used cider vinegar and instead of mixing the bacon in with the yolks, I put it on top of the assembled eggs. When I first made them, I could taste the sweetness (and didn't care for it). After they sat in the fridge for a bit with the bacon on top, the flavors all melded together and it was delicious. I may omit the vinegar and sugar altogether next time though.

Delicious! I used fresh pears and I used homemade cinnamon applesauce in place of 1cup of the oil.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Great, easy recipe! I had legs and thighs, a can of cream of broccoli and a can of cream of celery. Used chicken broth instead of water and 1 package of dough. I added some spices and 2 cans of mixed vegetables.

The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
Loved it! I also did 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar. I added a tsp or so of cinnamon and a splash of vanilla. It was just the right amount of sweetness to me. Very mellow. Yum. It looked very pretty too.

Loved it! I skipped the sugar and was liberal with the onions, cheese and bacon bits (I used hormel- very good, tasted fresh). I would definitely recommend this. Hubby loved it too!

Easy Crab and Horseradish Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
As other said, this is a great basic recipe. I doubled it and used about 10 oz of fresh crabmeat. I ended up using more horseradish and more worcestershire than called for. It's really to taste... Also, I did nuke it and it was ok that way but served it cold. I overheard someone say at the party, who brought the crab because it's awesome!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

I seared before putting into the slow cooker. The gravy was DELICIOUS! I used half a pack of the soup mix and added canned mushrooms at the end (small can). LOVE this recipe!

Cucumber Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
This was a huge hit!! I used regular old white bread. ***As a side note after the fact - When I mentioned I was making these for our holiday party this week, the people who had them the last time I made them just about flipped. These really are a great party hit if you make them as the recipe states but you MUST let them sit overnight and the dill is a great addition for flavor!!***

Very good! I used slivered almonds instead of peanuts and I added about a cup of raisins as well. Good stuff!

Definitely good stuff! I ended up adding another half stick of butter because I didn't feel like there was enough sauce. Excellent tasting though!

Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2005
Wonderful recipe. This was just what I was looking for. I think that mine only baked about 45 minutes. Even then, it probably could have come out of the oven 5 minutes sooner. Still delicious. For glaze, I used 1.5 cups confectioner sugar and 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice. I poked holes in the top before pouring on the cake. B/F and I have eaten half of the cake in the last 2 hours. Yum!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

This was really good. I loved the sauce. I think maybe I'm just not a huge Tilapia fan. I double the sauce based on a few other reviews but found that I really didn't need too. Now I have lots leftover. Thanks for the recipe!

Hearty Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2005
I loved this! I didn't have celery and I didn't add zucchini. I used Cheddar Jack and added about 1 cup of crumbled Lays potato chips to the top. Also, I added half of a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup. I forgot to add the tomato but it didn't matter. It was really good.
