Whipped Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2008
Delicious and very easy to make! Way better than the ready made kind. Be sure to use a metal bowl and place in the freezer for ten minutes before making the whipped cream. I can't wait to experiment with different flavor extracts and different amounts of sugar.

Easy Rum Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
I made this cake on Saturday thinking I could take most of it to a Father's Day celebration on Sunday. No such luck! My husband ate half the cake in 1 day. I gave a slice to a friend and to my mom. They both left me phone messages about how delicious the cake was. An extremely easy recipe that turns out very moist and flavorful!!! I left the cake to cool in the pan then poked holes in it and poured the glaze over it to absorb while still in the pan. Also, I found no need to burn off the alcohol as other reviewers suggested. The flavoring was perfect. It is rum cake and should taste rummy.

Honey Mustard Dressing II

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
Simple recipe with nice flavor, but something is missing, not quite sure what. If I make it again, I may try to play with the ratio of lemon juice, honey, and mustard or maybe I'll try a spicy mustard.

Cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
This was very dry and bland. I made a vegetarian version for myself and added tuna for the rest of the family. None of us liked it. Tuna Helper would have been better tasting. I will not make this recipe again.

Spinach and Potato Frittata

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
Thank you for sharing such a great recipe Cheryl. This recipe is easy to modify to your personal taste or for whatever veggies you have on hand. I added tons of garlic and some fresh oregano. I also used half egg whites and half whole eggs. It was delicious! I will definitely use this recipe over and over. Next time I will probably add tomatoes and fresh basil or rosemary. Yummy! Thanks again.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
OMG, these are delicious!!! By far the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever baked. Fresh out of the oven, these are warm, gooey, and delicious. I highly recommend that chocolate chip cookie lovers try this recipe. The only change I made was to double the amount of vanilla extract based on other reviewer recommendations.

Italian Vegetable Soup with Beans, Spinach & Pesto

Reviewed: May 24, 2008
Healthy, tasty, well balanced, and very filling recipe! I made minor modifications based on other reviews and personal preferences, but the recipe would have been great without any changes. I sauteed 5 minced garlic cloves with the onion, I used a vegetable broth since I am a vegetarian, I cooked orzo separately and added some to each bowl, and I put the pesto directly in the pot (6 spoonfuls). My family ate this for dinner for three days in a row and never tired of it. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Great pancake recipe, simple and delicious. I followed the recipe exactly. The salt really brings out the flavor of the pancakes. No changes to the recipe are needed - thanks for sharing.

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
This recipe is a bit bland, if I make it again I will add fresh basil and more garlic and red pepper. It is a relatively healthy pasta dish though. It would make a nice Summer meal. I think it would probably taste good cold too.

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
This recipe is AMAZING, very delicious. I made this for dinner for several non-vegetarians and they all commented on how tasty the sandwiches were. The aioli is so flavorful, that I will likely use it on most sandwiches I make in the future. Thank you for the great recipe! I love it and will definitely regularly make it.

Easy Cheap and Yummy Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
This recipe turned out better than I expected. I made it for a football party. People seemed to like it, but they didn't love it. I wanted to post a photo of the recipe, but it is not an attractive looking meal. Also the casserole does not reheat well. I used vegetarian hot dogs, which worked out well. I will not make this recipe again, but I enjoyed trying it out.

Easy Mashed Potato and Roasted Vegetable Enchiladas

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
This recipe tasted okay. It was a lot simpler than I expected based on the ingredient list. I really liked the vegetable/potato mixture by itself, but it resulted in weird flavor with the enchilada sauce. The amount of vegetable/potato mixture was double what fit in the tortillas. I will probably not make this recipe again.

Hawaiian Bread III

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
This recipe turned out tasty (extremely sweet) and very moist. Based on the recommendation of other reviewers, I added coconut extract for the bread to taste more Hawaiian. It still tasted like an ultra sweet banana bread. I will probably not make this recipe again. I will stick to a traditional banana bread with fewer ingredients.

Fugi Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
Tasty salad and very easy to make. One of the best recipes I've tried on allrecipes. I used 1 bag pre-cut cabbage coleslaw mix and 1 bag pre-cut broccoli coleslaw mix. I did not toast the sesame seeds or almonds. I added the dressing and ramen noodles right before serving to preserve the salad's crunch. Everyone loved it! A great salad for parties. I ate leftovers for lunch the next day and it was still good.

Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2007
This recipe is great, especially for a mushroom lover like me! I did make a number of changes based on recommendations of other reviewers as well as my personal preferences. The changes I made are as follows: I used Chantelle mushrooms as well as Portobello, I only used ¾ cup of sour cream, I added 3 cloves of garlic, I used 2.5 tablespoons of flour, I did not remove mushrooms from pan when I added vegetable broth, I kept cooking the stroganoff when I added the sour cream, I added 1 teaspoon soy sauce and ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce with sour cream, lastly I topped the dish with fresh parsley rather than mixing it in. This dish turned out very creamy with intense flavor. It was a very heavy meal, but delicious.

Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2007
This recipe is a keeper! I followed the recipe exactly and the vegetarian meatballs turned out great! My husband (who is not a vegetarian) really enjoyed the texture of the meatballs, and asked that I make an Italian dish with them. I finely ground the pecans as other reviewers suggested. I also used 100% dry breadcrumbs, and the texture of the meatballs was perfect. I was weary of the ingredients in the sweet and sour sauce, but it was surprisingly delicious. It was very sweet, but very good. Next time I will add even more hot pepper sauce to spice it up some more. This recipe is definitely worth trying for any vegetarians tired of soy meats. Thanks for the recipe! I will also try these meatballs with marinara or mushroom soup in the future!
