Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Very tasty (and very naughty). I followed the recipe recommendations of member "Reg927." The alfredo had good texture and great flavor.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
This recipe is awesome! The whole family loved it and it is really easy. I used Dos Equis Amber for beer and Bill Echols Taco Seasoning for spice. I also added half a head of cabbage at the start of cooking.

Easy recipe, very tasty considering how simple the recipe is. I added some sherri, which deepened the flavor.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
This was the hit of our Christmas appetizers. Based on other reviews, I used 3 cans of jalapeno's (our family likes spicy), I mixed 1/2 cup of panko bread crumbs into the parmesan topping, I baked at 350 for 20 minutes without the topping, then another 10 minutes with the topping. The result, a crisp crust atop ooey gooey deliciousness. It really does taste like jalepeno poppers.

Melt In Your Mouth Pumpkin Bread

The texture was very much like pumpkin pie. The recipe needed more spice though.

Stuffed French Toast I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
Great recipe! I combined the orange marmalade with the cream cheese before stuffing the french toast. The Irish Cream did not make the french toast taste like alcohol, rather it added a nice flavor dimension to the dish.

Bean Quesadillas

Good recipe, but could use some cumin and/or red pepper. Also, our tortillas turned out soggy from all of the oil and the heavy filling. Next time we will omit the oil or use Pam.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
Great baked potato soup made with ingredients that are readily on hand. I made a vegetarian version by omitting the bacon (using a little oil instead) and substituting a high quality vegetable broth for the chicken broth. This made a hearty and filling dinner that is perfect for winter.

This recipe results in a classic tasting deviled egg with a bit of zing. Absolutely wonderful! I will be using this recipe in lieu of the recipe I have been using for years.

Candy Cane Cocoa

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
This recipe is a must try, you won't regret it. As another reviewer put it - better than Starbucks! I thought this would taste too minty, but the candy cane flavor was actually nicely mild. The candy cane melts very quickly and thickens the hot cocoa. 2% milk worked great. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Vegetarian Stuffing

I am sorry to be in the minority here, but I didn't care for this recipe. It tasted like bread soaked in mushroom soup - I know, what did I expect? I followed the recipe exactly and added optionals of fresh mushrooms, cranberries, and fresh celery.
