About this Cook
I have been married for 33 years (to the same woman!) and just began cooking a few years ago. I figured she cooked the first 25 years, so I would cook the second 25. We'll discuss the third 25 years when it gets here!
My favorite things to cook
Meats with wine sauces and Thanksgiving meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For Thanksgiving I soak the turkey in a Pinot Noir Brine. The stuffing is very rich and the gravy tastes like a wine sauce. My family loves it.
My cooking triumphs
Has to be Thanksgiving dinner.
My cooking tragedies
One year I forgot to turn the oven on and the turkey was about 4 hours late.

Mulligatawny Soup I
Absolutely delicious! I first heard of Mulligatawny Soup on the Seinfeld Show from the "Soup Nazi." I had to try it and it is my favorite. The complex flavor is remarkable and the heavy cream added when seving really makes it!
