Red Velvet Cake III

yum! definately doesn't taste like boxed cake mix. it is denser and more flavorful. my family loved it. i iced it with chocolate butter icing.

this cake was fabulous. i made it for easter and everyone loved it!! very moist and flavorful. i made it in two 8 inch round pans instead of the 9x13 and they came out perfectly. also, i left out the pecans in the icing and added a few dashes of cinnamon instead. also, fyi, 3 cups of carrots was about 4 grated. yum!

good texture, but I think it needs a bit more umph. Maybe a 1/2 cup more sugar and a tsp. cinnamon.

Banana Bread I

I just finished making this bread and it is really good. The best part about this recipe is that everything goes in one bowl and no mixer is required!! The bread didn't rise very much and the batter all fit in one bread pan. I added a few chocolate chips and used half brown and half white sugar, and I think some walnuts would taste really good too. This bread is really moist, tasty, and really easy.

Blueberry Cream Muffins

These muffins were wonderful! They made a lot, so I might make a half batch next time. I followed the recipe exactly and added the topping from To Die for Blueberry Muffins of this site. They were phenomenal, especially when still warm from the oven.

Pizza Pinwheels

I refrigerated these before slicing them as others suggested and that worked well. They stuck to the cookie sheet after I baked them though so maybe next time spray some cooking spray or something on the sheet to prevent that. I didn't dip them in pizza sauce, and I don't think that it's necessary. They were good, but a little messy, and I had to squish them to get them off of the sheet. Taste: 5 stars Prep: 4

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

I made this appetizer for a progressive dinner, and it was really pretty! The salsa is basically a fruit salad, but I used blueberry preserves and it looked pretty. The chips were awesome though! They were easy and tasty and they looked really professional. I will make this again.

Cantaloupe Bread with Praline Glaze

This was a wonderful moist bread that kept well for days. I was really surprised that it didn't taste like cantaloupe. Not weird at all. It was wonderful and my family loved it. I mixed the nuts in the bread as someone else suggested and instead of the icing on top and put a brown sugar and water glaze. That turned out great too!

Healthier Graham Cracker Crust

I made this crust without the cocoa and with vanilla yogurt. It turned out great and no one could believe it was actually healthier. I topped it with vanilla pudding, and I bet it would taste great with some fruit on top of that. Quick and easy and tasted great too!
