I used vanilla butter nut flavoring instead of regular vanilla and got an excellent cookie as a result. Also, I kept the dough in the fridge and only worked with a small batch at a time - just enough to make one cookie sheet worth of cookies. After cutting out the cookies I put them back in the freezer for 5 minutes before baking, and used silpat mats to bake on. All this resulted in the best cookie I've ever made yet. Definately a keeper. I got rave reviews from kids and adults alike. Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that I had to tweak my 'method' to freeze the cookies before baking.
