Hunan Kung Pao

I made this using red bell pepper, broccoli, water chestnuts, snow peas, and green onions. I didn't put the peppercorns in, and I used sriracha in place of the chilis because that's what I had on hand. I did add some chopped fresh ginger. I forgot to sprinkle the cornstarch onto the chicken, but I mixed a small amount with some cold water and added it to the sauce as I cooked it. It came out fantastic- I will definitely make again and again!

Tasty Tuna Burgers

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Wonderful! I can't wait to make new flavor combinations! I followed recipe except for a few minor things. I only put about half the salt, and instead of using Italian seasoning mix, I added ground thyme, sage, and rosemary PLUS crushed rosemary, basil, and oregano. I did use the onion powder, but added all my seasoning together to get Italian seasoning. Wonderful, and tasty!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

I made this to send to my boyfriend's family for Thanksgiving, and I didn't try it, but apparently, it was good. My boyfriend's family was disappointed that I didn't send them another pie for Christmas! By the way, I made this using the recipe Basic Flaky Pie Crust from this site.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

I found the dough a bit hard to work with, but it was my first time making my own dough. I have no idea what it tasted like, since the pie was a gift to my boyfriend's family, but ever since I sent it he keeps asking me to make "something else with that dough." I have become known as the pie lady, and they were disappointed that I didn't make this crust and Grandma Ople's apple pie from this site for them again.

Birthday Bones

I tried a bite, and it didn't taste like much to me, but my rat terrier loves these! I tried to give her a milkbone today, and she threw it down because she wanted a birthday bone instead! I think she liked her "Christmas bones" after all.

Wonderful! I will never make the karo syrup kind again! The batter tasted like a praline. I baked it at 350 degrees for 15 minutes and then lowered it to 300 degrees to finish it.

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

This is excellent! Rarely does a recipe work exactly as it should, and this one does. The chicken was tender and moist, the sauce was superb... and it was terribly easy to make! I did up the cayenne and the garam masala in the sauce a bit, as I like it a bit more spicy and flavorful, but it only took a couple of shakes to bring it up to a good, solid level. I will definitely make this again and invite friends over. This makes a HUGE amount of yummy sauce!!!

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

I made this last night, and it was amazing! My boyfriend said that he could eat this once a month at least. I did have to cook the glaze longer than it said once I added it to the chicken pan, but you will know when it becomes glaze-like. It's really good! We will make again.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

This is so easy a delicious... I make it all the time! I am lazy and I heat the tortillas in the microwave for about 15 seconds before I fill them instead of heating them in the oven, but it's terrific either way.
