This was a hit a our teacher appreciation luncheon-it went to quickly that I was asked if I would mind running back home to cook a double batch before the second wave of teachers came through to eat. I didn't have honey so omitted it, and used creamed corn. Got many raves.

Daddy's 'If They'da had This at the Alamo we would'ha WON!' Texas Chili

This is the real deal- I'm a homesick Texan and we loved this recipe.I tried it because a "real Texas" chili does not have beans- only as a optional topping. My 6 and 8 year olds were leary at first, we told them it was enchilida stew and then they devoured it. I made a double batch so that I could use the extra as enchilida sauce, but there weren't any leftovers!! This is chili contest material, thank you so much!!

Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Made these for my son's playgroup and sadly only made one batch. They were devoured, and mainly from the mom's! I did manage to hide one away and ate it the next day, it was still yummy, not stale. Today we're trying M@M's!!

Egg Drop Soup II

Really good soup. My 12-year old daughter made this soup as an extra credit project for her 6th grade country report- we had two huge crockpots worth- the kids devoured it, not a drop came home.

Azteca Soup

Excellent recipe. Light and refreshing in the summer with a salad. I've used thin tortilla chips when I've been pressed on time, and that was fine becuase I think it's the avacado that puts it over the top. Thanks Andree!

Glazed Meatloaf I

This is wonderful. My 4 year old begged for more "Yummy Loaf", I wish I'd doubled it beacuse it was devoured by my 4 kids before we thought to leave some for leftovers.

Chicken Paprikash II

Excellent. My bottle of paprika was empty- nasty surprise that was- and it was too late to get any from the store. However, it was wonderful without it. The kids devoured it, and maybe they wouldn't of if it had any color than white. Thank you for sharing this.

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

This is wonderful. I used two large cans of peeled whole tomatoes because fresh werern't in season now, and added just a pinch of sugar and a health glug of dry sherry. This was better than the 4 star restaurant's soup we had the evening before, which I liked so much that I had to compare to this recipe. Wonderful job Holly!!

Carne Con Chilies

This is just such an excellent recipe. I had some leftover smoked pork shoulder that I used insead of the pork chops and, being a homesick Texan, I had to add a couple more serranos and a handful of fresh cilantro, but that was. You must try this recipe. Thank you so much Chriszee!
