Aunt Blanche's Blueberry Muffins

These turned out very, very good. Nice and moist. The batter was quite thick after everything was added, but like I said, they turned out very good.

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Dijon Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Delicious! I skipped the mushroom and used cream of celery instead of mushroom and I used about a half cup of white wine. This was divine! Used the sauce as a gravy for my sour cream whipped potatoes too. The meat was falling apart after just 4.5 hours in the slow cooker.

Lasagna Alfredo

Yum! Super easy. I added sauteed onions and garlic to the chicken and alfredo sauce. Stuck it under the broiler for a minute or so to brown the top. Next time I might sub broccoli instead of spinach.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
This was very tasty. I did use boneless chicken breasts, cut into thick chunks, so I modified the sauce recipe according to the top commenter on here. I boiled the sauce and then poured it over the chicken meat. This was supposed to be thicker, but it wasn't. It tasted amazing, however. Next time, I am going to try to "thicken" the sauce with a little bit of flour, if the caramelization doesn't occur.

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2011
Very delicious. The chicken was nice and tender. I did add a little bit of chicken stock (maybe like 1/4 cup?) to it, and that helped! Will do again, but next time I will throw in some veggies (red peppers or green onion). :)

Porkolt (Hungarian Stew) Made With Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
This was very filling and good. The bacon made the texture a little odd, so maybe next time I will not include it... but it is definitely a keeper!

Banana Crumb Muffins

These were amazing. I added a tsp of vanilla and subbed oil for the butter. The streusel topping made enough that I was able to do a double batch with only one batch of streusel. This is going into our rotation. Thanks!

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Herb Sauce

Reviewed: May 31, 2011
This was amazing! I absolutely loved it. My husband had trouble with it being tenderloin being used in this (he is a snob, feels sauces should be used for lesser cuts of meat), so I will be using this recipe with other cuts of meat. I did subsitute the white wine with chicken stock, and I used heavy cream because that is what I had in my fridge.

Best Basic Sweet Bread

This was my first stab at baking with yeast. It turned out quite well. They tasted lovely, and I paired them with chicken in wine sauce. They did turn out more like a biscuit rather than a roll, but they were yummy!

Portuguese Chicken I

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
This was AMAZING!!!! I used boneless chicken breasts and garlic salt, but otherwise followed this exactly. I paired it with jasmine rice and steamed brocolli. I JUST had the leftovers for lunch today and they were seriously the best leftovers I have ever had. And the sauce is awesome on the rice! Will definitely put this into our normal rotation! I also paired this with the Easy Sweet Rolls recipe. They paired well.

Chocolate Cheesecake

This dessert is really good, but extremely rich. It is good in small, slender slices. Anything more than that, and it might make you sick! My husband is a huge chocolate fanatic and absolutely loved this. This is definitely something you must have in moderation. :)

This was delicious!!! I was hesitant about the use of marshmellows in it, but as one previous person said, it turns into apple butter. This is going into our recipe box for sure!

Okay, so I am a little late on the rating of this, seeing as I made it on Thanksgiving, but it's better late than never, right? In one word, this was: delicious! I will be making this again, and perhaps halving the recipe, as this makes a TON of deliciousness!

Bacon Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
I made this for dinner tonight, and it was a big hit. I took suggestions for other reviewers, and used 2tsp cornstarch to thicken it a bit more, and I used pillsbury biscuits, cut into 1/4s. I used a whole can of buscuits, which was a bit much, but it still turned out well. Will make again.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
Ok, this is seriously the best pulled pork I have had. I used Pork spareribs, instead of tenderloin, layered 11lbs of it into my slow cooker, seasoning each layer with salt, pepper, and A&W Root beer. I started the Nesco at 3PM and let it cook throughout the night, and at 7AM the next morning, I shredded it and added sweet babyrays. I then let it cook for about an hour more, letting the flavors really meld together. My husband took it to his work, where they ate it on wheat hamburger buns, and when everyone asked me what I did, when I responded rootbeer, they were very surprised. A very good recipe. One thing I would recommend is to watch the liquid content, because as the meat cooks, it releases liquid, and when I opened my Nesco this morning, it was to the rim with liquid, almost overflowing. :) Sooooooo good.

Slow Cooker Beef Roast

This is an excellent recipe. The meat was so juicy and tender. The carrots and celery had a very nice smokey flavor to them, which I had never experienced, but loved! Am definitely going to be making this again.
