About this Cook
I am married to my husband of almost 10 years and we have an almost 9 year old. I love to sing, and love to cook, so I usually sing while I am cooking! We live in OMG IT RAINS ALL THE TIME!!!! *sarcasm* Seattle and live a pretty normal lifestyle. I love to eat out at new and exciting places, but I am learning to love discovering new recipes to try out on my own. My son has Asperger's syndrome, so along with that comes a whole new level of pickiness when it comes to eating. He eats mainly "white" foods, which can severely limit what I can make for him. He is slowly coming around though :)
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. But I find that as long as I take my time and enjoy myself while I cook or bake, it becomes my favorite thing to do.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Polska Kielbasa, cheesecake, apple pie.
My cooking triumphs
I recently baked successfully with yeast, just the other day. I am so friggin proud my myself! I was so terrified before that it wouldn't work out.
My cooking tragedies
Have fun, enjoy yourself, and worry about the mess later!

Aunt Blanche's Blueberry Muffins
These turned out very, very good. Nice and moist. The batter was quite thick after everything was added, but like I said, they turned out very good.

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Dijon Sauce
Delicious! I skipped the mushroom and used cream of celery instead of mushroom and I used about a half cup of white wine. This was divine! Used the sauce as a gravy for my sour cream whipped potatoes too. The meat was falling apart after just 4.5 hours in the slow cooker.

Lasagna Alfredo
Yum! Super easy. I added sauteed onions and garlic to the chicken and alfredo sauce. Stuck it under the broiler for a minute or so to brown the top. Next time I might sub broccoli instead of spinach.
