About this Cook
I currently work as a administrative assistant. My ambition is to go back to college part-time and eventually obtain by bachelor's degree as a intelligence analyst. My hobbies are crocheting, cross-stitching, knitting, sewing and cooking.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook have been asian meals and I love soups. I also like to cook chicken and I love spicy foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom taught me how to make vegetable beef soup, this was not a easy task. It took all day and we had a 5-quart pot full of it.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to bake chocolate chip cookies the kind you spread in a pan and then cut them into squares. What a mess, I didn't do something right because they did not seem to bake. They just retained their raw form. After about 1.5 hours I took them out of the pan and thought I would solve the problem by putting them in the microwave. That didn't work either. Needless to say they were never quite made it to the cookie jar.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken
This was great! Although, I did change it a bit. I followed the directions except I baked it in the oven and when I made the sauce I omitted the butter (Healthier). Also, I didn't have any cayenne pepper so I substituted chipotle pepper powder. Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake
This is a fantastic cheesecake. I did add about 1/4 cup more pumpkin. It needed to be cooked longer because of the extra pumpkin but it is a fantastic recipe. Thank you so much for sharing.

Rhubarb Jam
This is the best recipe. I however added a little cinnamon and about 1/2 package of pectin to thicken it..I tried it without the orange juice once and it wasn't as good. Thanks for the great recipe.
