About this Cook
Live in a small town with the my husband, our son, and our pets. Love to cook (of coarse), read, listen to music, crafting, and spending time with family especially during the holidays!
My favorite things to cook
Hmmmm...this is a hard one. I like to find recipes and put my own twist on them. After enough twisting, I have come up with something of my own. Most times they turn out really good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pies during the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
Don't know...most things turn out pretty good.
My cooking tragedies
Don't want to talk about it... :)

Ground Beef Wellington
If you love mushrooms, you'll flip for the creamy mushroom sauce that accompanies this scrumptious dish! The only thing I did differently is added a few more seasonings-garlic powder, worchestershire sauce, a little extra salt and pepper, etc. This is definitely an "I'll-be-making-this-again" recipe. I have made it a few times and the recipe can easily be doubled for company.

Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti
GOOD STUFF! I made this for Christmas cookies along with homemade cocoa mix and it was a great recipe. The only tiny thing I would do different next time is bake it a little less during the second bake time or add a little milk or something. I think it's because we live in a really dry climate and it turned out a tiny bit too dry and crunchy. Otherwise, perfect recipe!

Canned Apple Pie Filling
I just made this recipe today. I am a beginner canner, but found it very simple and precise! I haven't made a pie with it yet, but I did taste test the syrup and it was soooo yummy! I must admit, I exchanged 1 cup of the granulated sugar for brown sugar and added 1/8 tsp. cloves, 1 extra tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. extra nutmeg and 1/4 of a tsp. of allspice. (I like my apple pies kinda spicey.) I plan to give it out as Christmas gifts this year along with the dry ingredients for making apple crisp. GREAT RECIPE!!!
