Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
Oh my gosh, I will never order grilled shrimp from out again because these turned out awesome!!! They took much longer to cook then the recipe stated, but when the bacon was done the shrimp was done too. Oh yeah, make sure you watch them because the bacon grease will easily catch fire.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
Very good! I doubled the sauce as suggested except for the brown sugar(used 1.5 times). Cooked them just as the recipe stated. Served over brown rice with turnip greens. Also mixed up some hot sauce like PF Chang's using spicy mustard, shredded horseradish, soy sauce & chile paste. This was really good on the rice with the pork. Next time I will make broccoli & carrots instead of turnip greens. Awesome!

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
My husband and I love this recipe!!! We have had made these fries five or six times since the beginning of the year. Great with burgers and a cold one. We just put all the ingredients in a zip lock and shake, shake, shake! Add a little extra oil if you have any trouble. We like to add a little seasoning salt. It is great just as written too. My favorite part is that it is good for the waist line unlike "fried fries".

I hate giving low reviews, but this was not that great to me. My tastebuds just thought something tasted off. Sorry.

Very good! Would be good on any cut of steak. I made it just as the recipe was written. Only the time of cooking the steak was adjusted due to steak size and preference.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

AWESOME!!!!! This was the best recipe that I have tried in a long time. I cannot believe that I have had it in my saved recipes since 2003 and never made it! Try it, you'll like it, especially if you are a fan of hot wings. Great with a beer! I have to admit that I added more hot sauce then the recipe called for because I like hot sauce alot. And I used mozzarella and cheddar cheese as someone had suggested. Next time I will brush a little butter on the crust edges and sprinkle powdered garlic on top. But regardless this was FABULOUS!

Fabulous! My husband and I loved it! One of our new years resolutions was to try at least 4 new recipes a month so we have had alot of fun this year. This was so easy and wonderful. The gravy it made was great on mashed potatoes! It is definately a keeper.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
This was awesome and easy! Made this for Valentines day along with the Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce, twiced baked potatoes, garlic cheese biscuits and chocolate covered strawberries. They were a great combination. Also I had never cooked a steak in a skillet, always on the grill. This is great for the winter months when it is too cold to cook outside!

BB's Chicken

AWESOME! I wasn't sure about the sherry, but the swiss cheese toned it down to a perfect blend of flavors! My husband and I loved it. I only cooked it for 30 minutes covered and then 30 minutes uncovered on 350, just like someone had suggested. It was so yummy. Try it! Thanks for the recipe!!! Oh yeah, I served it with mashed potatoes and collard greens.

Famous Pork Chops

Great recipe! Fast and EASY! I give this a five because my husband said it was the best pork chops he has ever had. I thought they were pretty good too. Next time I will uncover them the last 10 or 15 minutes to make the crust a little crunchy.

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2003
This was good! I didn't really follow the directions though. The recipe calls for 6 chicken breasts and I bought chicken tenders because they are cheaper. When I came home for lunch I noticed that there was a lot of sauce so I just added 4 sliced potatoes. When I got home it was ready. About 30 minutes before serving I put about 1 1/2 cups chopped frozen brocolli in it. It turned out really good. It was actually more of a soup. I reminded me of O'Charleys potato soup (but with chicken). Next time I will try to leave it alone and serve it over rice like the recipe suggests. I will definately make it again this way too.

Cream Cheese Pickles

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2003
Excellent! Everyone loved them. Just make sure they stay COLD or they are not good. We put them in a metal bowl and put that bowl in a larger bowl full of ice. I had no problems spreading the cream cheese on the pickles (I thought it was easier then spreading it on the meat because the meat just tore.) and then wrapping the ham. Definately goes in my recipe book!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2003
Very tender! My husband and I really enjoyed this. The only thing is that I could not find Hawiian sea salt (looked at 3 stores), so I just got regular sea salt, is that the same thing? I thought it could be a little spicier and the salt may be why. I will definately make it again though. It was so easy! Out of this one butt we have had it 4 different meals. 1st: as is by the recipe, next day lunch: with BBQ sauce and vinegar (sandwich), next day dinner: mixed in with beef ramon noodles, third day lunch: heated on a bun with seasoning salt, garlic, and cheese. Every time was yummy and different. We probably could have had it again if we hadn't felt sorry for our dog, everytime we ate we threw her chunks!
