Inside Out Ravioli II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
I made this without baking it in the oven. I don't know how much of a difference that would make. But, the combination tasted burnt to me even though it wasn't burnt.

Coconut Cream Cake III

This cake was very simple to make and tasted great. I baked it about 60 minutes. It was still too long. It was just a little too golden brown. Still very tasty.

Pennsylvania Milk Punch

This was a hit with the family last night. Next time, I will add ginger ale instead of 7UP. I could definitely taste the lemon in the drink. Then, it will taste perfectly like a melted orange cream cycle. Thank you for the recipe. It's a keeper for sure!

Tuna Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
This is the tuna casserole I grew up on except that we never had cheese or added salt. I like adding american cheese--it's a great addition. I have never warmed the sauce before baking. I mix everything in the casserole pan. Then, I dig a hole for the cheese and cover it up. That way I don't need to dirty another dish. When I think there might be leftovers, I only add chips to 1/2 or 3/4 of the casserole. Usually my 3 kids help me eat this (no hubbie) and we lick the bowl clean. I ever eat the crumbs from my bags of chips. I save them for this casserole. This is great with salt and vinegar chips and even tortilla chips. The kids don't even notice the mushrooms in the soup. I like this best with cream of mushroom soup. If I have them, I'll add onions, mushrooms, celery and peas. Thank you for a great recipe.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
Once the sauce started to thicken, it thickened a lot faster than 2% milk. I didn't like the addition of parmesan cheese to the sauce. Other than that, it was good. I liked the tip of pouring oil over the pasta in the strainer. I like it when I don't have to dirty another dish.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

My husband didn't like this at all. I didn't like the addition of milk to the meatloaf mix. I'll just keep looking for a recipe we all like. Thanks

Glendora's Chocolate Fudge Pudding (Cake)

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
I actually made this in a 1 quart dish. Horrible mistake. Most of the sauce ended on the bottom of my stove. I recommend using a 2 quart dish so that when the sauce boils it has room to expand. When we ate it (most of the sauce gone and very thin), it wasn't sweet at all. The very rich flavor would be excellent with ice cream.

Cherry Winks

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
These were so good. I have only had store bought cherry winks before. They never had dates. I loved these cookies. They are flavorful and have a good texture. Even the people that don't like cherries or even fruits liked these cookies. I ran out of cereal, so I used graham cracker crumbs. I recommend it in a pinch. I still like the crunchy texture of the cereal better. I didn't have cornflakes so I used crispex. Very good

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
The first six cookies I made the size recommended in the recipe. They filled a cookie sheet. The rest of the cookies I only used a big tablespoon and the cookie ended up about 3" diameter. Everyone that tried these chewy cookies loved them. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

This is my favorite mix of sugars. I eat the peanut butter sauce even without the rice krispies. It tastes so yummy.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
I only made one pie. I was hoping the peanut butter layer would be more like a thick peanut butter sauce than an old Reese's cup. It is more like the Reese's I didn't even add all the sugar. The next time I try this I'll add about 1/2 cup sugar to try to make a thick saucy layer. Then, I'll follow the pie directions for the pudding layer. I topped the pie with whipped topping and chopped Reese's at the table.

Bachelor Grilled Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
I've been making these for years. After college and work, I didn't feel like washing any more dishes. I Have toasted the bread and as soon as it pops, I put the cheese on it and let it set on top of the toaster. When I was really in a hurry, I just put it in the microwave. Make sure you don't leave it in there too long, the toast gets soft very quick. Enjoy!

Awesome Ham Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
I doubled this pasta salad for a funeral. I used light mayo and turkey ham. I used 2 green peppers, one red, and one yellow. I had green onions so I subbed them. I also subbed 5 tablespoons of sweet pickle relish. I used 2 cans of drained, chopped tomatoes instead of fresh. I don't think my substitutions changed the flavor of this salad. It tasted great and makes a lot. It would be great for a potluck.

The Best Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
Be very careful with those chiles. I had to roast 12 in order to get the six I needed. I had to substitute a different kind of dried chile, beef bouillon and water for the beef broth, and I only added 1 teaspoon of salt. I don't like most red sauce because it's too salty. I used the sauce to make Spinach Enchiladas on this site. They were fabulous.

Garlic Parmesan Orzo

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
This is a simple, very flavorful side dish that would work well with many dishes. I served it with spinach enchiladas (on this site) and it worked well. It is easy to taste the garlic and parmesan. I made the mistake of adding all the topping ingredients to the pan and dumping the orzo on top before stirring. I had a couple of cheese clumps I could not dissolve. Still, very yummy.

Spinach Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
These were great. I loved the combination of flavors. I don't like ricotta so I subbed cottage cheese. I only used about 1 1/4 cups cheese. I think this would be even better if I add more seasoning to the spinach. I also topped with my own red sauce so that it wasn't too salty for me. Definitely a keeper. I served with Garlic Parmesan Orzo on this site.

Reese Cup Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
I misplaced this recipe, so I made it from memory. I used 1 cup peanut butter and 2 cups milk. It was already thick by the time I scooped it into the pie. The peanut butter was a little strong. Next time, I'll make sure to follow the recipe. I put it in a baked graham cracker crust.

Chicken Broccoli Ca - Unieng's Style

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
This is very good. Unfortunately, I ran out of soy sauce in the middle--only 1 tablespoon. I added a can of chinese vegetables with the broccoli. Served it with an egg roll. The pepper was a good but surprising addition.
