Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

These are very good cookies. I will add more cloves next time to make them even more spicy. I made half a batch. I got 3 dozen 2" cookies by making a rounded teaspoon--not heaping and not a tablespoon.

Oma's Rhubarb Cake

I used frozen rhubarb. The bottom of the cake was too wet. It didn't become soggy even after a week. I just didn't like the texture. I may try it in the summer with fresh rhubarb.

These were tasty and easy. Next time I'll only use 3/4 package of ranch. It was a little intense. I used the fiesta ranch seasoning because I already had it.

Smoky Chicken Spread

This was very good. I added a couple of splashes of liquid smoke to bring that out even more. I finely ground each chopped item in the food processor because this was going to be a walking around type snack. This is about 48 calories for 2 tablespoons of spread.

Foolproof Rib Roast

This was the first time I'd ever made a roast. It was difficult to leave the stove alone. It smelled wonderful. The roast was a little more rare than I liked, but it worked out. I sliced the meat then warmed it up a little and it was perfectly cooked.

Antipasto Squares

This was very good. It dissapeared quickly. I baked at 375. The bottom crust was soft not wet. Next time I'll layer all the cheeses together giving it more presence. Thank you for the recipe.

Cheesy Zucchini Casserole

This was too salty by itself. When I ate it with other foods it was great. Next time, I'll drain the chilies and not add additional salt. I ate the leftovers on a flour tortilla with meat and additional veggies. Yum!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

The flavor was very good. I didn't like the idea of onion rings being bigger than the potatoes so I cut them in half moons. I didn't even have 1/2 cup cheddar. So, I added a can of cheddar cheese soup.

Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes

These potatoes were tasty. After an hour, they still weren't all the way cooked. I raised the temp to 400 degrees for the next 15 minutes. They had little golden brown bits.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

I made this without the rice so that I could pour it over rice and in a crockpot. It came out soupy. I should have adjusted the liquids. This was good. I'll follow the recipe next time to see if it turns out very good.
