About this Cook
I didn't start cooking until I moved in with my boyfriend and realized how fun and easy cooking could be. After our daughter was born, I started cooking everything from baby food to bread and now my family enjoys a gourmet meal every night!
My favorite things to cook
I love making sauces and cooking with different kind of alcohol. I'm not much of a drinker but a dash of the drink can make a lot of difference when it comes to flavor.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My daughter has been cooking with me ever since she was a baby. Now that she's older, I let her taste all the spices, mix things with her hands, and whisk whatever is on the stove (with supervision of course)
My cooking triumphs
My husband's family are all very good cooks so when he tells me that my meatballs are better than his mom's or that my empanadas are better than a real Puerto Rican's empanadas, I get so excited.
My cooking tragedies
Believe it or not, for awhile I was having trouble making mashed potatoes, until I realized that you only need to boil them for 20 minutes. That was pretty embarrassing.

Awesome Roast Beef
I doubled the soup and I thought it was delicious. My usually carnivorous husband did not agree.
