What in the world did I do wrong?? Could not mistake the OVERPOWERING baking soda taste that left a TANG on your tongue. Sadly, I had to throw the whole cake out. What did I do wrong? I could have messed up....

Chili Dog Casserole I

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2001
WHOA! This recipe ROCKS! Couple of suggestions: I agree with the corn chip substitution and the two cans of chili. I browned my hot dog pieces in butter with the onion then added the chili, some black beans and mustard and mixed together and heated through then poured it over the fritos. Then topped off with the cheese. WHOA! NOT lowfat! WHO CARES?

WOW! I am a firm believer in baking with butter but when the recipe called for margarine, I thought I'd obey and am I glad I did!! (especially since margarine is much less expensive in my neck of the woods)....follow this recipe EXACTLY and you have a phenomenal cookie on your hand!

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2001
This recipe was good! I doubled it and noticed it was a bit thick and not too much liquid but after re-reading the recipe, I realized that I drained and rinsed the black beans instead of adding them undrained. DUH!! So the recipe would have been even better if I'd followed directions! HE HE!

Just Peachy Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2001
I cut this recipe in half (and used a 15 oz. can of sliced peaches) and the bread did fall but has a wonderful moist texture and yummy flavor! Sort of a pumpkin/pear/pumpkin mix. Different but good especially warm with butter!
