About this Cook
I'm married to a wonderful man and we've had four children in 3.5 years!! Needless to say, our lives are busy but fun! And there sure are plenty of mouths to cook and bake for!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking from scratch! Cookies, cakes, brownies...I also love using my slow cooker and love making casseroles, although the hubby doesn't like casseroles too much.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Before I got married, my grandma taught me how to cook. We'd have my husband (then fiance) over to her house every Friday night where I'd prepared a meal from scratch. BOY, was he spoiled! He still is spoiled!
My cooking triumphs
I have tweaked a slow cooker beef barley soup recipe until it is distinctively my own. We have it weekly here (even in the summer), and the kids all love it!
My cooking tragedies
I've had plenty of tragedies from dumping everything on the floor in the midst of cooking to leaving ingredients out to using baking soda instead of baking powder. (YUK!)

Caramel Macchiato Cheesecake
This is absolutely incredible! Definitely go with the espresso, a double shot is the perfect amount, just a touch over 1/4 cup. I had a pan of water on the bottom rack of my oven preheating left it in there. Only had one tiny crack, very impressive!! The caramel and whipped cream cinched it! Brilliant!

Easy Raspberry Sorbet
This is so super tasty and so easy! If raspberries weren't so expensive, I'd make this every week! YUM!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.
These were absolutely DECADENT! I used a chocolate cake mix and also froze the dough balls overnight with no problem. I can't wait to make them again!
