I'm retired from the US Navy. I'm now living in NC and spend A LOT of time with my two grand babies, Chase 3, and Jordan 22 months,. I keep Jordan about 3-4 days a week when her Mom is at work.
I love to scrapbook and have been doing genealogy for over 15 years. I play golf, love to shop and adore dogs.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake more then just about anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family has always loved grilled cheese and home made chocolate shakes. We used to have them most Sunday nights. My Mom hated it, but always made it for us. Now when we go home for a visit on one night it is something we always have to have. Funny how the little things are always the best things.
My cooking tragedies
My husband and I moved to FL and bought a house that had fruit trees. It was August and the fruit was dark green. I thought we had lime trees, so picked the limes and made some lime-aide. It was awful. The lady who we bought the house from moved to one accross the street from us. While I was out walking my dogs I asked her when the limes would be ready to pick. She said that there weren't any lime trees in the yard....only orange trees. When I told her what I did, she said, "oh honey, I hope you used lots of sugar."
