About this Cook
Oh I'm a teacher
My favorite things to cook
Whatever strikes my fancy. Currently it is salads and cool foods like BBQ because it's now so hot.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Posole, red and green chile, beans, New Mexico type food like stews, chile, frijoles, tortillas and such.
My cooking triumphs
Making the desserts, creamy soups, and of course trying out new recipes. They usually come out very well.
My cooking tragedies
Sob. The first time I made fry bread.

Potato Leek Soup III
Yummy. I thought I had heavy cream, but I was out. Substitute whole milk, and crossed my fingers. Mom loved it. Boys loved it. Husband dug it, and I think the only think that would have made it better was the heavy cream. I cut way back on the butter as suggested and only using half. It's a keeper. Thanks
