This cake was great. I made a few alterations to the directions. I added the egg yolks, and beat the egg whites to peaks separately. Then folded in the egg whites. I also added 1 teaspoon of coconut extract to the milk mixture for some extra flavor. Turned out wonderful!

This cake was great. I made a few alterations to the directions. I added the egg yolks, and beat the egg whites to peaks separately. Then folded in the egg whites. I also added 1 teaspoon of coconut extract to the milk mixture for some extra flavor. Turned out wonderful!

German Chocolate Cake III

This was a great cake. Time consuming but really good. The icing took me about 1 hour to make in itself, but was my favorite part of this cake. My cake wasn't quite done all the way through, but that's my fault and not a fault in the recipe. I did toast the coconut before adding it to the icing mixture.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Marble Cake

This cake was not good. The flavor was off and the cake turned out dry and crubmly. I followed the directions and didn't make any alterations. Don't know what happened, but I won't be making this again.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

This frosting did not work for me at all. It was very greasy and didn't fluff up. I followed the directions exactly and didn't make any alterations. Don't know what happened, but I won't be making this again.

Neapolitan Bundt Cake

This turned out really well. We did add some additional chocloate syrup to the chocolate portion, and I took the advice of some other reviewers and added some strawberry jam to the strawberry portion. I choose to make 3 different flavors of the glaze but used a different recipe on this site for Vanilla Glaze and just altered it slightly to make vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavored. Turned out wonderful.

Angel Hair Pasta with Peppers and Chicken

I changed quite a few things for our taste, but this was great! We added broccoli, and I used regular peas instead of snap peas. This is so easy and I love the idea of using deli chicken. This will become part of our weekly dinner rotation.

Red Velvet Cake I

I must have done something wrong. The icing tasted like sweet grease, and the cake a little dry. Also, it had brown swirls even though I mixed the coloring very well.

Fresh Strawberry Pie with Orange Liqueur Glaze

I was pleasantly surprised by this pie. It turned out very well, much better than expected. I might add a little more cornstartch next time because it was a little runny but had a great flavor! I will be making this again.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

These were great, my son made them with me for everyone's Christmas present. They were super easy. I didn't have any problem with the cookies cracking and I followed the directions exactly. We did however put the muffin tin in the fridge to cool in between bakings because the chocolate melts and makes the cookies hard to remove.

Busy Day Chicken

I cooked my chicken for 8 hours on low, but it turned out really dry, especially the white meat. I was surprised beacause it was very tender and looked like it would be juicy.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

I made this as my first turkey, and it turned out great! Everyone wants to come to my house from now on because the turkey was so good. I didn't change a thing from the original, and it was so juicy it just fell right off the bone when we tried to pick it up.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

The meatloaf itself in this recipe was good, but I didn't much care for the ketchup and brown sugar. It didn't taste bad, there was just to much of it (and I even used 1/3 cup of brown sugar instead of 1/2)

Lemon Butter Seasoned Vegetables

I thought these vegetables were good. Next time I will use a little less lemon, and more salt. I used my wok to steam my vegetables, and it was a lot less work.
