Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake
The meat mixture is so nicely seasoned, it tasted great, however as a whole this dish was not a success for me. The potatoes needed seasoning and would have looked and tasted better if the top layer was browned towards the end of the cooking time. The casserole itself crumbled all over our plates, I think it needs something to bind it together but I'm not sure what...

Eggnog Pancakes
My family really enjoyed these (even the eggnog haters), they smelled wonderful. I did have to add a splash of milk, maybe a quarter cup? as the batter was too thick for my liking.

Mother's Applesauce Cake
Although the icing is great the cake was heavy, bland and we could taste the baking soda. I was thinking of ways to tweak the recipe - reduce the b.soda, add some b. powder, reduce the flour by a half cup etc. - but I think I will just choose a different appplesauce cake recipe next time.
