I am a thirty-something year old mother of 3. I am happily married to my best friend. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a tank full of fish! I work from home as a Project Manager and through hiring practices, assist other talented parents balance career and home life while still developing professionally. In case you can't tell, i LOVE my job! I enjoy being outdoors, horseback riding, nature photography, playing guitar, painting/drawing, etc. I go through phases. Currently, i am on a major salsa and pepper kick. I have been making all kinds of salsa cruda from my garden tomatoes. I have been experimenting with rocoto peppers, habenero, jalapeno, etc. I love to bake goodies and i love it when my kids want that "special something" mom makes. I didnt have that growing up so it means a lot to me now. I love to entertain and me and my friend have margarita night out front with the kids once a week to watch them play and hang out. Other neighbors join as they wish. It's fun! O and i LOVE to cook for and throw fondue parties!! we do it every other month or so....i love to eat it too! (who doesnt?!) I make thanksgiving every year for the family and i make mostly the same menu every year with 1-2 new recipes and it is something that everyone looks forward to. Also, black berry season at my dad's farm, we all pick black berries and then i make this cake and cream berry dessert that my dad loves every year. Halloween sugar cookies!! I took a decorating class and can decently decorate cakes and cookies...there is a picture on here of my halloween cookie bouquet for my daughters best friend who's bday is on halloween.... and the fondue parties..the kids LOVE doing that...cause they get to get their hands in the mix....its interactive...we have fondue/rock band parties...we are total dorks!! Learning to make cheesecake for my hubbie cause it's his fave....finally learning to melt chocolate properly... a great cheese fondue and an incredible chocolate fondue.... finally getting the hang of making sugar cookies in high humidity....and rolling them/cutting them... I had been wanting to try chicken mole for years cause my daughter and i are chocolate FREAKS and it was awful. I mean the recipe itself was good but we just didnt care for it. That was the only thing that i ever made that EVERYONE in the house hated. o well! o and the tiradito catastrophe cause it was not cheap....tiradito is a peruvian dish similar to ceviche....my friend's hubbie makes it and i had it and it was delish....i tried to make it based on what he told me (no measurements) and it wasn't horrid but it wasnt great either and everyone in my family is afraid of raw fish prepared at home for some reason...they'll buy sushi but wont eat it if i buy fish there and prepare it here?! go figure...anyways i had to throw it all out....
