Sunday Dinner Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
This is a very good recipe. A great option for those who doesn't like stronger cheeses in their mashed potatoes. You may add some herbs, basil for instance in order to make it more flavorful...a keeper!

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
A complete hit! Everyone loved them, I tried these with a picky crowd and they all loved them included my mom who had problems with granola in the past. Few tips: add more honey instead of the sugar to keep them off the crumminess of the original recipe, other than that these a real treat for snack time throughout the year!

Almond-Topped Fish

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
This one is really good, specially with fish-picky people. The flavours melt right in to create a really classy dish that you do not want to miss. I have tried it also with different herbs if dill is not your choise. A must is to substitute the mayo with souer cream, the difference in the quality is outstanding and way more welcome...add it to your recipe box!!! yo-om

Tiramisu II

The great thing about Tiramisu is that is both flavourful and savvy, you don't spend much money doing this treat and yet you get amazing reviews. Make sure the ladyfingers get really soaked in the coffee as it will provide richness to the overall flavour...yom-mi!!!!

Salmon with Mango and Brie

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
The recipe by itself is great, however, it needs a bit improvement here and there to make the presentation way more appealing: I had the mango sauce (with fresh mint leaves by the way...) on the side and the brie was added almost around serving, this way doesn't get messy and your plate looks like 5 star cooking. A real keeper!!!!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
Really good. Specially if you make the pay dough from scratch. Here you have tried tips that will enhance the recipe greatly: *Reduce both milk and chicken brooth and add 1/2 cup of white wine to the gravy. *You can add bacon or jam in small bites to upload the flavor. *Adding potatoe is very important and delicious. *You do not have to use all the gravy, feel free to use and moist your chicken filling as much as you want to or to cut it as much as you want to. *Brush your pie crusts with olive oil to avoid moisting of it, this will add flavour and keep off the humidity of the fillig. All in all a great recipe, you can freeze a couple of these for emergencies and your done. My family loved it!!!!!

Easy Stovetop Peach Cobbler

In spite of all the wonderful reviews for this recipe I must say it sucks! I have done it twice and both times came out dry and milly, I tried with different cake mixes and different canned fruit and still something uneatable came out, I was soooo looking forward to taste it since the smell is pretty good but it didn´t came out right.

Prune Mocha Cake

Great recipe, not as moist but still great...used it for my brother´s birthday and everybody liked it. I used 1 cup less of confectioners sugar and icing came just as good, if you want to have more of prune flavor cut down both the nutmeg and cinnamon. Overall really tasty and yommi.

Turkey Posole

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2005
This is not a good Pozole recipe. The original recipe goes for pork, chicken and even a vegetarian version with no meat/poultry at all. It does not have beans, or jalapeños or anything the recipe stands for. Maybe it is a good caserole of something, but Pozole never...

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2005
I am Mexican and this is a wonderful recipe. Few tips: if you can fill the tortillas with chicken and FRY to make the perfect taco then dip in green sauce you`ll get crunchier enchiladas...if you only top the fried tortilla soaked in salsa and top with chicken you are having "tostadas de pollo". Anyway you go you can top your dish with lettuce, sour cream, crumbled cheese, chopped onion and cilantro...mmmm...Thumbs up PattyVerde!! great recipe girl!!!

Vanilla Ice Cream X

The recipe by itself is a moisturizer for a Mexican Cake called 3 Milks...as an ice cream is not what I expected but I can understand the thrill of other reviews. This was not the kind of Vanilla Ice Cream I was looking for, but I have to say that this was really easy and quick.
