About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
Once a year i try to do the following tradition that my mom made so incredibly well and mouth watering good. Fresh warm gooey honey dip doughnuts were a special treat as a kid and even though she would complain about all the effort that went into making them, deep down she loved cooking for us and especially the look on our face when inhaling her melt in your mouth doughnuts.

Chocolate Cupcakes
bland & dry. The batter tasted good but the end result was like chocolate day old bread. i wish i would have read more reviews before wasting my time. Like someone else said... you cant make fluffy that little bit of butter with all that sugar. (THAT should have been my cue for the dry result) ALSO.. people who rate the recipe 5stars AFTER they make their changes should not be rating at all. That is a new recipe and you are leaving this one with a lie. im ticked i wasted my time.

Southern Peach Cobbler
it may not look the prettiest if serving to guests for a more formal 'do' but who cares.... this is to die for. screw the guests, you'll want this all for yourself! thanks! You MUST pair this with a scoop or 2 of real french vanilla ice cream - theres a big difference between plain o vanilla and french. mmmmm mmm mmmmmm

Baking Powder Drop Biscuits
very tasty. (i love plain tea biscuits) I mixed the first ingredients using my new kitchenaide mixer with the dough hook when putting in the chilled cubed butter (substituted same amount of butter for shortning) I also didn't have cream of tatar so i left it out. i also turned the oven down to 400 for about 10 minutes until lightly brown and they came out perfect, buttery and flaky. Even cooled down they were pretty good.
