Aunt Betty's French Dressing
My hubby loves salads, but *only* if accompanied with French dressing. That said, I had run out of it one night and searched for an acceptable substitute. I was leery of this recipe because of the ketchup base (the dressing should be orange, not red) but it turned out virtually identical in colour and taste to the bottled brand we usually use. I used white vinegar as that's what I had on hand. I will use this from now on, thank you!

Highway Cafe Chess Pie
This pie is divine! If you like rich desserts, this is one to try. I omitted the walnuts as my boyfriend doesn't like them (I will make one with nuts for this Christmas though lol) and it was still great.

Easy Coconut Macaroons
I tried the 1st batch as directed-and I ended up with cookies that had spread over the whole pan. The 2nd batch, I omitted the cornstarch, replaced 1/4 c of sugar with icing sugar (confectioners) and added 2tbsp of flour. Beautiful!
