About this Cook
Divorced mom of a five-year-old. Interesting eater, she is. Loves salad, cottage cheese, tacos, meat loaf, spaghetti. Has a hard time venturing outside of her comfort zone. Trying new foods is always a challenge. Would love ideas from other moms.
My favorite things to cook

My cooking triumphs
Accomplishing the ultimate fete: Cooking meats (steaks, chops) without burning them solid :)
My cooking tragedies
Rosettes that stuck to the irons in a big way. It wasn't pretty.

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake
Delicious, rich, moist. Baked it one hour in a bundt pan. Put all the topping in the middle after adding 1/2 batter. This didn't work as the cake separated in two parts when I took it out of the pan. Make sure to line with foil and let it sit 10 minutes after taking it out of the oven.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style
Made this for a family gathering. It was fabulous. It seemed as if it might be done at 4 hours, but I kept it in for the duration. Basted quite a bit during the last hour. Also realized that I put the chickens in UPSIDE DOWN!! I wonder if that's what made them so deliciously moist. Took the pan out, covered it and had it sit out 1/2 hour as guests were late. Still wonderful and hot. Gravy was fantastic!
