A bit of a let down. All the great reviews had me expecting something better. A problem was that it charred against the sides of my crockpot (on low). The sauce was too thick and the taste was too concentrated. I added about a cup of water to thin it out & it was more edible. I won't make this for myself again, however my 4 and 7 year olds, who often don't like meat, really liked this.

Loved these! I made mini muffins for a preschool function and they were great. I made them the night before & tested them when they were warm - not too impressed. I was very pleased the next day, though. They're much better after they're fully cooled.

Exactly what I was looking for! To me, this is a "grown up" cookie. The dough has a good texture and is not too sweet, and the caramel center is a great surprise. I'm giving these to teachers, bus driver, and friends as a small holiday gift. Thanks for the recipe! I'll be keeping this one for sure.
