About this Cook
I'm an avid golfer that really doesn't like to cook...strange huh? I belong to a recipe site and don't really like to cook! Basically I go in streaks and when the mood strikes me, I like to try new recipes. I have found and tried many wonderful recipes on this site and I continuously download, print and save more...for future mood swings!! :)
My cooking triumphs
My sister came to visit a few years ago and we made a Thanksgiving feast (all from this site) that was absolutely wonderful. It definitely made it more fun to have someone to cook with. I tried to duplicate it the following year for my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. They didn't appreciate it and complained about most of the ingredients...so I haven't made it since.
My cooking tragedies
A week or so ago, I overcooked fish (talipia I think) in the oven. It was a little rubbery and dry but we ate it anyway! I don't know what I was thinking....I may not "like" to cook, but I'm pretty good at it.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing
This was the most wonderful, flavorful, delicious dressing I've ever had. I can't say enough good things about it. It was a hit for Thanksgiving and my sister took the recipe back to Michigan and fixed it for Christmas for the rest of my family members. Most of them "raved" about how great it tasted... of course you can't please everyone. I will definitely make this again.

Apple Raisin French Toast Strata
I made this for company. Although it went over "pretty" well, it was almost too soggy and sweet. The leftovers were not eaten so the time, effort and expense weren't really worth it. If I make it again, I will definitely make a smaller portion to avoid leftovers. I don't know what to do about correcting the soggy part.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I
I LOVE this salad. It's easy to make and tastes wonderful. I orginally made it for a party, but my husband and I enjoyed the leftovers for many days after. (I kept the dressing in a separate bowl so the salad wouldn't get soggy). It was very refreshing and I'll definitely make it again.
