Country Fried Steak and Milk Gravy
I never thought I could make a good country fried steak - but this was so easy! I used vegetable oil to fry the steaks, but will probably try a mix of oil and butter next time.

Butter Beef
Since there are only two of us now, I cut the recipe in half, and cooked on high for 2.5 hours. I also added some cracked pepper and garlic, as many other reviews suggested. It was wonderful...and super-easy!

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations
I was dared by a friend to make a cake from scratch. I chose this recipe, but I wasn't optimistic that I could do it. However, it wasn't difficult, and the cake -- oh, my gosh! I never though a cake could taste this good. I feel as if I've been in a cake slumber all my life, and this one woke me up to the possibilities!
