Easter Brownie Caramel Cheesecake
three of my babies
About this Cook
I'm a mother of 6 children aged 5 months to 7 years old. I love to cook, as I was raised in my dad's chinese restaurant when I was very young. later we moved and opened up a four star restaurant.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite type of thing to cook is Dim Sum, even though I end up having to buy it out of the store and take it home and steam it. But I love asian food. my best work though is cheesecakes and other gooey, fatty desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family tradition was to cook traditional chinese food with my mom, who passed away only a week ago. Now it is my turn to pass on that same tradition to my children
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph was to finally be able to make a cheesecake without little cracks on the top.
My cooking tragedies
I've tried to make so many dishes, but doughnuts are the worst. they always seem to come out really dry and not risen enough. And you would think that I could cook rice since I am half oriental, but forget that. I have to depend on my rice cooker to do the job properly, and even then its touchy.

Gourmet Caramel Apples
I am giving 5 stars because I did this differently! I found caramel apple wraps in the store and used those but used the other steps to make the apples...chocolate and than sprinkles as they were for a pre-k class...they looked so good it was hard not to try one!

Hong Kong Style Egg Tarts
here are some changes that I did: instead of 9 eggs, I did 6 Large eggs and 3 egg yolks as for the crust, I used my Grandma Kwongs recipes: 1.2C Four 1/2C margarine 1/2tsp salt 1 egg yolk mis first three ingrediants till mealy then add yolk and combine till forms soft dough...press into tart molds

Peach Raspberry Cobbler
this recipe was ok, but next time I'm going to put the fruit on the bottom and then the cake on top...when I put the fruit in gollops on top, it just went directly to the centre...and we like an even amount of fruit tasts...but will try again, so rating may change!
