I followed the advice of others, and added only a pinch of salt, a tsp of vanilla and a tbl spoon of Karo syrup. I thought it turned out well.
Mine was a little crumbly in spots. I think this was from trying to score it while it was hot. I think had I left it alone until it was cooled and "hardened" then it would not have been crumbly at all. This is a SUPER sweet dessert. Yummy!
