About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I am happiest when I cook for others. Food makes people happy. I love to bake and have requests to bake something and bring with me anywhere I go.
My favorite family cooking traditions
At Christmas my sister and I make candy, cookies and homemade breads. We give them away to people who have to work on Christmas. We have a great time delivering our treats.
My cooking tragedies
When I was much younger I cooked some Jamacian Chicken. It looked great. Smelled great. Tasted horrible. The seasoning I used was pre-mixed and was this weird yellow color. My dog would not even eat it. Have never had the desire for Carribean food again.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Wow! I have to admit this was my first time to eat or cook brussel sprouts. This was a good 1st impression. The sweet and salty contrast is very tasty. Will make again. Very simple and elegant dish.

PHILLY Bacon and Tomato Presto Pasta
I made this for supper last night and there were no left overs. I did make a few changes. I used evaporated milk for a creamier taste. I also used chive and onion cream cheese (only flavor my grocery had that was not sweet). After I cooked the bacon and drained the grease, I add some chopped chicken and garlic. I sauteed that until brown. Then I did as the receipe went. We thought it was very tasty, and a very simple dish. I left the tomatoes out, but that was a personal preferance. Will be making this again!
