I must have done something wrong, maybe I didn't mix it enough after I added the milk and vanilla but it was grainy and thin. I threw it away and made a different chocolate frosting.

I was very disappointed with this cake. After carefully reading the reviews I decided to make this for a birthday party/baby shower but was not pleased with the taste at all. It did tend to resemble a sweet cornbread. I consider myself a fairly decent baker and used cake flour, made sure my ingredients were all room temp, etc. I ended up doctoring up a boxed cake mix.

Our family likes hot food but this was WAY TOO HOT for us. I reduced the serving size to 4 so maybe that had something to do with it. We probably won't try it again.
