I am married with one teenage son. Taking foods classes in Junior High and High School definitely sparked my interest in cooking. I love trying new recipes, reading cookbooks and gathering recipes from the internet. Any new recipe is my favorite thing to cook. Making cookies at Christmas. Every year my mom and I would spend several days making cookies for the holidays. I still do it every year, and so does she, even though we live in different states. Also, Thanksgiving wouldn't be the same without homemade Ravioli. My Grandma started that tradition and it's still going strong. Trying a new recipe, family liking it, that is always a triumph! I have never ever been able to make waffles where the first batch doesn't stick to both sides of the waffle iron, no matter how much oil I put on the waffle iron. I always have to scrape the first one off and then the rest of them come off the iron just fine. And every time I make them I vow to never make them again. I am sticking to my word as my last waffle attempt was in 2003. And it's too bad, my family loves them!
