Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
AMAZING!!! I only marinated it for 4 hours and it still came out incredibly tasty. My guests were totally amazed. I added the balsamic vinegar and lemon juice (no zest). I accompanied it with the Oven Roasted Potatoes recipe in this website and it was a total success. I made an aioli to go with both and baked some crusty Italian bread. Plum upside down desert from Chez Panise's cook book. What a hit! Thanks so much for this wonderful recipe, a definite keeper to impress guests!

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
Great recipe, but don't use russet potatoes. It took me almost an hour to bake them and they got stucked to my pirex. I had to add a bit of water half way through cooking time because they needed more moisture in order to bake. Next time I'll use red potatoes. I made a lamb recipe from this website and it was the perfect complement. My guests were very amazed with the whole meal. Thank you for the recipe, will do again.

Pear Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
Amazing! I keep getting requests for this bread at work. I've used it for a few fundraisers. I use organic pears and it's now known as "Organic Pear Bread," it sells like hot cakes. Some employees asked me if they could buy the whole loaf. I wish it was healthier, but it's SO GOOD that I can't get myself to change a single thing. Thanks so much for this gem!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Amazing recipe. Unfortunately my first try was perfect. My second try wasn't that fortunate. I put them in a pirex tray and they started to rise immediately, they were so beautiful. Then I put them to continue rising in the refrigerator. Today (I made those last night) I went to put them in the oven and when I took the lid off... they had deflated! They're done now, but total failure, they're not big and fluffy like they were the first time. They never rose again. I will still try the recipe again, it might have been my fault. The first time it came out GREAT.

Adobo Chicken with Ginger

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Awesome. We just adjusted the soy sauce a bit (added some more). The best soy sauce for this is the Lauriat soy sauce (it has a swan on its red label). The vinegar is called Datu Puti. Our Phillipino friend, who makes the BEST adobo in the world, only cooks adobo with these two brands. If you want it spicy, add little pieces of Thai chili pepper to taste, also known as rocket pepper. Habanero peppers work as well. GREAT recipe, basic but authentic. Thanks!

Classic Bran Muffins

Loved it. It fills the regular muffin cups to the top. Not very sweet, PERFECT. Put 1/2 bread flour, 1/2 whole wheat flour and added a tbs of shredded coconut. Delish!!!

Banana Oat Muffins

Awesome recipe. I've made it countless times and has always been a hit. I make 2 batches and freeze them. Every morning and take one out and microwave it for 40 seconds, tastes as if I just baked them. I added ground flaxseed to give it more fiber content. At times, I substitute flour for whole wheat flour, then add 1 tbs of vegetable oil so it doesn't come out too dry. They're AMAZING.

It was just okay. It needed a lot more zest. Quite bland for my taste.

Lemon Square Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2006
Awesome recipe, the best! I made a couple of changes to make it healthier. For the crust, I only put 1/2c butter and added 1/3c water. I also reduced the amount of sugar for the lemon topping to 2/3c. It was AMAZING. I got rave reviews. Just make sure the crust is golden when you are ready to pour in the batter. I was in a rush once and I didn't wait long enough, it was horrible.

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2005
GREAT recipe! I've made it many times and people love it. You can cut it in thick slices and freeze them for weeks. I put the slices in the toaster till they are light golden brown and spread jam or butter on them for breakfast. I love it!! Thank you!
