About this Cook
I'm a 35 yr old foodie currently living with my husband in Aurora, IL. I'm very fortunate in that my husband will eat everything I make, and I'm constantly using him as my guinea pig! I was born and raised in Canada by my French Canadian parents. I grew up eating a lot of French Canadian foods, and I just love getting home to Canada to taste mom's delicious cooking. She has always inspired me to cook.
My cooking triumphs
Planning and making a 7 course meal for hubby's business associates who were in town on business. Stressful day, but a huge success!
My cooking tragedies
Hmm...how about reaching into the oven to take out the Thanksgiving turkey and having the pan collapse, dumping the turkey and scorching liquids onto my bare feet. YEEEE-OUCH!

Cream Cheese Cookie Cups
Wow, these were gobbled up in no time! I brought them to a Christmas party and everyone was impressed and asking for the recipe. I do have to admit it was a little time consuming forming and pressing the cookie dough into the cups. The chocolate chips really made it difficult to press down, and the dough was really sticky. Maybe next time I'll try with sugar cookie dough. They do puff up quite a bit when cooking, so don't be alarmed. You just need to press down the middles after you take them out of the oven and before they cool. A trick to taking these out of the pan...twist them out slowly instead of pulling up on them. They won't break this way. The filling was super easy to make and delicious!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
Delicious! The cookie cutters I used were rather large, so I ended up having to cook these around 12 mins and the batch made 35 cookies. I'd definitely make these again.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms
These are some of the best stuffed mushrooms I've tasted. I make these as an appetizer when we entertain and guests always ask for the recipe. So easy, yet so flavorful! Just the right amount of spicyness.
