World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
Made the original recipe, but added the dash of nutmeg to ricotta cheese mixture and used only 1/2 tsp or so of salt instead of the tablespoon of salt. Family loved it and a friend who greatly dislikes Italian food raved over it...shocking! Delicious!

I forgot how much I like these! I did add the extra cinnamon, some nutmeg and some allspice. I also substituted applesauce for 1/2 the butter.

I cooked my steaks first. After removing the steaks from the pan, I made added the listed ingredients and added dried tarragon, garlic, salt and pepper. I also added sliced mini-portobella mushrooms. Pretty good.

Very easy and my husband devoured the sauce. I cut the spice measurements in half to compensate for the herbs in the tomatoes.

Beer Brats

Great recipe, easy! Didn't care so much for using the leftover beer/onions for "sauce," (a bit spicy for us) but the brats were great!

We devoured this!! To save time, I sliced my veggies, tossed with olive oil and some balsamic and stir-fried on a grill wok. Worked out great and a definite hit.

Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
I also used 1 3/4 cup rice and 1/4 cup more coconut milk and about half cup more water. Also used about 2 tsp. powdered ginger and half tsp. garlic powder. Added raisins at end. It cooked in about 25 minutes. In future, would probably add a shake of red pepper and some fresh pineapple at end of cooking.

These were great! I substituted the worcestershire for the soy as well and used cider instead of apple juice. I also marinated my chops in cider as well for a few hours (since it was already out). Sauce is yummy!

My husband definitely liked these and we were shocked that our 3-y-o wolfed a rather large "burger" down pretty quickly. Followed directions exactly. Made a horseradish-enhanced sauce to top them.

Quick, easy, delicious! I used almost an entire package of shredded hash browns as the base, squeezed out the water, and baked for almost 20 min. Then added the rest of the ingredients. Definite crowd-pleaser.
