Valentino's Pizza Crust

This is the easiest pizza crust recipe you will ever find.I made this as my first attempt to make homemade pizza and it was perfect. I attempted another recipe and failed so I am without a doubt sicking to his FOREVER! I have since made it 4 times and it is great every time. The only thing I do different is after it cooks in the pan I move it to a pizza screen and bake for about 5 min to give the bottom more of a crunch. Enjoy

Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup

Vegetarian Shepherd's Pie

Vegetarian Korma

I made this dish minus the cashews and jalapeno. According to Madhur Jaffrey (very renowned Indian chef) Jalapenos should never be used in Indian cooking so I used canned green chili's and it was delicious. I omitted the cashews as a personal preference.

Indian Style Basmati Rice

The flavor is great but I should have trusted my instinct and used less water. The rice was WAY TOO MOIST! I would suggest using only 2 cups of water.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

This was delicious. NOTE I did not use sea salt I used kosher by mistake. I served with potato rolls and the Spanish Slaw recipe (I added carrots) on this site. Delicious left over ideas... Pull apart very fine and serve on toast topped with fried egg (cooking egg over easy a must or dish will be too dry) Also Pull apart very fine mix in your favorite mecican seasonings and serve over rice and beans. YUMMMMMY

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

This is FANTASTIC. I did modify and only used 1 cup sugar and it was PERFECTION. I will try again using apple sauce instead of oil. Thanks this is a KEEPER!!

Scrambled Potatoes

Could have been done better. Potatoes added a soggy texture. I did try to broil them to give them a little more crunchiness but still a sloppy gloppy mess. Will try my own creation next time.

Swiss Steak Quick and Easy

This was a rich recipe. I too deglazed the pan using red wine. It had GREAT flavor my 6year old gave it a 4. This is a keeper. I mat try with other meats

Banana Bread V

Tried this tonight and it was Wonderful I too did the 1/3 brown sugar 1/3 white sugar adjustment and YUMMY YUMM YUMM and not too sweet. I think next time I might just add 1 more bananna for a little more banana flavor. I made it in a bundt pan like another reviewer and didnt care for that because the peices cut funny but other than that this will be the one!

Jo Jo's Favorite Banana Muffins

Delicious, although I did ad 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1 tsp vanilla and WOWEEEE! So Im not sure how it would be on its own.I also reconfigured the recipe so that I could have 24 muffins as I needed them for my sons kindergarten class. Totally a keeper

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls I

I enjoyed the balance of sweetness as the dough was not super sweet however the dough did seem to be a bit on the heavy side. This was my first time baking with yeast so maybe maybe it was something I did or failed to do. I also used the food processor to bring together the ingredients so maybe that had something to do with it. I will try this one again!!!!

Shortbread Cookies II

I wish the recipe had been more specific on how to cool and store the cookies. I say the cookies have a nice flavor out of the oven but a bit floury the next day but still good. I used the food processor and am grateful for that because the dough is very dry a crumbly it made mixing nice and easy. I am on a shortbread mission and this recipe hasnt haulted my search good yes but not "THE ONE"

Quick Coffee Cake

WOW I had a hard time deciding if I should make this or not because some people seemed to realy like it and others seemed to really dislike it. I took the advice of another and added 2/3 cups sugar to the batter and a little extra brown sugar to the topping (about 3 tbls) and WOW was it delicious, so quick, easy YUMMY! Whatsmakes this recipe even better is that it requires so little ingredients and all are common place around my kitchen. I will try to double it next time and see how it works. This is certainly a keeper and the first recipe to motivate me to rate and review. Give it a shot!!!

Banana Pineapple Delight

Delicious although we modified it a bit by using an extra cup of graham crackers and extra 1/2 stick of butter(the crust wasn’t thick enough the first time around)& we used two small packages of French vanilla pudding mix. I chilled the crust a bit before putting the mix on top and also let the pudding set a bit before putting in on the crust and nuts OH MY that was a great addition. I will make this again for sure it’s a delicious and light summer dessert. I'm glad I found it!!!

Whole Wheat Banana Nut Bread

This is a great recipe. I make it often. It has such a wonderful flavor and excellent texture. I love a nice warm piece of this bread and a hot cup of coffe for a wonderful homemade treat. This is a true keeper and a pass-it on recipe.
