Mimi's Giant Whole-Wheat Banana-Strawberry Muffins

Yum, yum, yummy!! Thank you so much for this recipe. I loved it!! I do have one confession, though. I didn't have any applesauce in the house (I hate the stuff), so I put a stick of lite margarine in place of the oil and applesauce. :-) I don't care, though, they're delicious!!

Tuna Curry in a Hurry

I'm sorry, but I thought this recipe was awful. I had to throw it out. I followed it exactly to the letter and couldn't eat it. Not sure what to say to even improve the recipe. I just didn't like it. Sorry.

Blackberry Pie I

This pie was just plain awesome! I bought 2 pillsbury deep dish crusts because I had slightly more than 4 cups of blackberries. I followed the recipe except for adding maybe a tablespoon of butter to dot the top of the fruit with. I also didn't quite use the entire 1/4 cup of sugar on the top of the pie. The consistency came out perfectly and the sweetness of the filling was just right. Now I can do something else with the abundance of fresh blackberries I have besides cobbler!

Old Fashioned Strawberry Pie

I wish I could give this recipe 5 stars, but the juice was indeed juicy. It did thicken up after sitting overnight, but it's still quite runny. I should have followed other reviewers' advice and added a couple tablspoons cornstarch. The reason I would love to give it 5 stars is the flavor--yum, yum, yummy!! It was delicious!! This will be my strawberry pie recipe, but I'm going to add cornstarch (and maybe extra flour) from now on. Thanks!!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

I made these with fresh frozen blackberries. Oh my gosh!! These were the best muffins I've ever made. My boyfriend said he could have eaten all 12 of them. I followed the recipe exactly, except for the blackberry substitution. Thanks for the recipe!

Oatmeal Cinnamon Chip Cookies

This is my favorite cookie!! My boyfriend is constantly requesting these, too. I've always had problems with my oatmeal cookies coming out cakey. Not these. They are the perfect texture. I made no changes at all to the recipe.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

I loved these cookies!! I didn't have any shortening, so I used butter. I also added just a dash of almond extract. I only chilled the dough for 30 minutes, sprinkled flour on top and molded the cookies into the shapes I wanted. They came out awesome. Really tasty, festive treats with green icing for St. Patty's Day! I no longer need to search for a good sugar cookie recipe.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

I loved the way this icing tasted. It didn't harden exactly as I'd hoped, but it was really, really humid down here in Louisiana yesterday. This is now my sugar cookie icing recipe, though. Thanks!!

Barbecued Beef

OMG!! I don't care that there were over 300 other reviews!! I had to say something--I will never, ever use another BBQ beef recipe again. This one is perfect! I made it as written and wouldn't change a thing! Thanks so much for making me the hit of my St. Patty's Day party.

Allie's Mushroom Pizza

This was awesome and so quick. I was looking for a quick Lenten recipe on a Friday. I only added black olives, parmesan, and Italian seasoning. I also didn't have sesame oil. Didn't miss it. Thanks for a great meatless recipe.

Buttermilk Cookies

These cookies would have been better as muffins or something. I've never had cookie batter come out so thin. They spread on the cookie sheet like pancakes before baking. I put chocolate icing on top and they were edible, but I won't be making them again. I did use butter instead of shortening. Could that be why?

Cracklin' Bread II

Not so good. The batter was so dry that I had to add extra buttermilk to stir it enough to pour it into a pan. As expected, once it was baked it was very, very dry. I didn't like this one at all. Still searching for a good cracklin cornbread recipe...

Candied Chicken Breasts

Ohmigosh!! This recipe was awesome. I followed it exactly, except for the pineapple rings at the end. I was patting myself on the back while eating it. The leftovers also went very well in a tortilla wrap with ranch, lettuce, and cheese. Yummy. Thanks!

All American Apple Pie

This was a great and easy recipe. I must admit that I had to buy a frozen pie crust and I didn't have nutmeg as I thought. It still came out great. This was my first apple pie, and I'm very proud of it. :-)
