We really enjoyed this recipe. Followed the directions as written, and found it a little too salty. Also, did not add the full amount of italian dressing - just enough to coat the fillets. Other reviewers were right...the peppery smoke that comes off of these when blackening is enough to give you a coughing fit, so ventilate well! Will definitely make this again.

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

Made this the slow cooker method. I loved how tender the meat came out...and definitely loved how easy it was. The sauce was just all right...not really the type of bbq sauce I llike. Will make again, but will make some changes to the sauce.

Baingan Bharta (Eggplant Curry)

Pretty good. I made it as a main dish, and it wasn't really enough to fill all of us (served with rice). I cooked exactly as directed, and would make some changes if I make it again. Cooking it on high for 10 minutes caused the yogurt to burn on the pan. Overall, it was pretty good, but I would make some changes next time.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Liked this because it was so easy and tasted good. Sauteed the onions a little longer than called for and then added in the other veggies. Also, did not heat the tortillas first. Instead, filled the burrito with completed filling, wrapped it all up, topped with some cheese and then popped it in the oven until the burrito had a little crisp and the cheese was melted. Topped with salsa and served. They were a hit!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Best zucchini bread I've found. Followed some modifications other reviewers suggested. Used 1 cup brown sugar, 1 1/4 cup white sugar. 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce, 1/2 cup oil. Other than that, made just as written. Really, really good recipe. Will make again.

Baked French Toast

Loved, loved, loved this! Made some changes based on other's reviews - 6 eggs, 1 1/4c milk, 1 cup cream, cooked uncovered. Hubby loved it and said this is something to cook for company. Will definitely cook this again!

Unbelievable Chicken

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

This is a great, moist strawberry cake. Much, much better than anything you can get in a box. Usually make this into a layer cake, with fresh sliced strawberries or preserves in the middle, use a stabilized whipped cream icing that's nice and light and doesn't compete with the flavor of the cake. What hubby wants every year for his birthday cake.

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

I wasn't too impressed with this recipe. Adding the butter syrup at the end didn't work too well when I made the pie. It didn't seem to penetrate through to all the apples as they cooked. The end result - some apples had no flavoring on them at all, and they were still kind of crispy, instead of the soft, melt in your mouth apples I like in an apple pie. I think the traditional method of tossing the apple slices with sugar/cinnamon and adding pads of butter throughout the pie before placing the crust on top works much better. Wouldn't make this again.

Bumbleberry Pie II

Amazing! The best summer berry pie I've ever had. Followed the recipe and it came out perfectly. Have made once with fresh berries and once with frozen. Definitely better with the fresh berries.
