Extremely easy! Very strong banana flavor. I added a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon to my taste. Thanks!

Greens with Cannellini Beans and Pancetta

A fantasically healthy and fast veggie side. Browned the bacon in the pot that was made in, and used the bacon grease instead of olive oil.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Fantastic! I simmered the chicken and veggies in the broth that I used to make the gravy, and increased the gravy by about 50%. Also added a bay leaf and cooked it for about 35 minutes. LOVED IT!

Tasted great but never rose. Next time, more baking powder, or possibly just rolling them to a 1 inch thickness.

German Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
As per previous reviewer, used 3/4C applesauce and 1/4C oil in place of a whole cup of oil. Next time, I will reduce sugar to 1.5C. Also, I julienned the apples and they worked great. By my calculation, using all applesauce for oil and cutting out a half cup of sugar reduces the calories per serving of this cake to 105.5! Definitely doable and guilt free.

Beer and Soy Sauce Chicken

I also omitted water and added a splash of lemon. After the chicken was on the grill, I brought the remaining marinade to a rolling boil and then poured it over the chicken. We really liked this!

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
Excellent side dish! Made it as stated here without the onion. First time trying quinoa and it is a nice nutty grain that is a great base for whatever you want to add in. This is a southwest flavored combo, but there are tons more out there. Sundried tomato and cannellini beans with italian seasoning or chickpeas and curry powder for indian. Thanks for sharing this!

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
Used this recipe on boneless skinless chicken breasts. Made a lovely sweet sticky exterior to the chicken. This makes enough for 2 uses in our opinion, when used as a baste. Reminded us alot of Yakitori chicken.

Amazing on grilled shrimp!!! Also tried on chicken. Not as earth-shattering on chicken but a fast and easy marinade for summer months.

Cincinnati Chili I

The flavor is spot on!!!! To get the right texture, do as other reviewers have done and simmer the beef in water to brown, and then drain. This makes the pasty consistency. Also, no unsweetened chocolate squares, subbed 1T of cocoa powder. Thanks! Great!!!!!

Apricot Chicken with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
Wow! This was SO easy and fast. The flavor combination is incredible. It has a sweet/tangy combo similar to an asian flavor but all it's own. No substitutions in ingredients but my chicken tenderloins were a touch frozen so they came out incredibly moist, almost like I meant to do that!

Made this as a quick addition to a Spring get-together. Absolutely a hit! I added some chopped carrots to use them up and threw in a few sprigs of fresh thyme I had leftover. Both substitutions worked out great. YUM!
